An Evening With The Body Shop, Chichester + Haul

Last Thursday, I was very kindly invited along to the Body Shop Blogger event in Chichester. The evening was an opportunity to discuss their favourite products, new launches and of course to promote their ending animal testing campaign. They have previously successfully campaigned to ban animal testing in the European union, but their aim now is to gain 8 million signatures to take the petition to the UN in the bid to stop animal testing full stop.

You can read all about their campaign on the body shop website.

The evening itself was lovely, there was an opportunity to chat to the helpful staff, learn all about their cruelty free vegetarian and vegan products and mingle with other local bloggers. oh and also Wagamamas were supplying the food so I was munching on vegan Wagas all night, which by the way is insane you should definitely take a look at their vegan/vegetarian menu  - the yaki soba is a personal fave.

I haven't stepped foot into a Body Shop for a while, I forgot how good their products are. A stand out for me has to be the Pina Colada range, honestly my mouth starts to water every time I smell it ahh. Even thinking about it makes me drool. At the event they were offering 30% off everything so I took full advantage.

First up were the Pina Colada shower gel and body butter, I have been using these every day since and as I mentioned before, I smell delicious. We were also gifted a body butter set containing 5 mini body butters so I handed some out to my housemates because there's only so many body butters one gal needs.

Then the staff at The Body Shop gave us some samples of their favourite products including the Camomile Cleansing balm which I have previously used and loved, the Tea Tree Sleeping mask and the Vitamin C Microdermabrasion scrub. I'm a sucker for a good sample and the little tubs the Body Shop use are weirdly satisfying.

I cannot wait to use the Banana Nourishing hair mask, it smells amazing! Like honestly, go into a store and give it a wiff. I apologise to your bank account in advance because there's no way you're walking out without it. I can't wait to see what hydrating wonders it does to my rather dry, damaged tresses.

The final product was the Oils of Life Intensly Revitalising Cleansing oil-in-gel. All I know is that it's one of their slightly more luxe ranges and rarely ever gets included in offers. This product is 100% vegan and contains Black Cumin oil, Rosehip oil (big big fan) and Camellia oil. It promises to cleanse the skin whilst giving you up to 72hrs of hydration. Sounds right up my street and I can't wait to give this a whirl.

I am so grateful to have been invited along to the event because it re-ignited my love for The Body Shop. Everything from their cruelty free products to their beyond helpful staff, makes for an all round pleasurable shopping experience.

Let me know if you want full reviews of any of the products featured in the comments below.
