#FASHIONFRIDAYS | Blush Pink + Faux Leather

With all things valentines being spewed across every shop, the excessive use of pink and red got me inspired to play with the colour a bit more. Throwback to a couple of years and the prospect of owning anything pink made me feel a little nauseated, flash forward to today and if I spot anything in pink it's mine.

There's something uber-feminine about wearing a blush pink shade. A touch of girly-ness that I would otherwise avoid like the plague, one look at my wardrobe and you'll notice a sea of neutrals or block colours and not lot of patterns or floral. But sometimes, just sometimes, I throw a touch of pink in for good measure.

I picked up this oversized jumper recently from River Island, it was in the sale down from £42 to £17 - a total steal if you ask me. I love it's slouchy fit, large sleeves and roll neck detailing, I've paired it with some faux leather trousers from asos to take something quite 'biker-esque' to something a little softer. Plus the contrasting textures makes me very happy. An oversized jumper + faux leather trousers = the perfect winter outfit. Throw on a pair of court shoes and you've got an evening drinks/dinner outfit or add some vans for something more casual, either way, it's super easy to style.

I'm also very into wearing pink and red together. Years ago my mum drilled into me that pink and red should never, ever be worn together but as I've got older I've learnt to appreciate the impact of wearing the two shades at once. In this example I've opted for a red lip, the Powerlips from NuSkin are some of the best liquid lipsticks I've ever tried and I'm wearing the shade Ruler here. They don't launch until March however you can pre-order by dropping me an email - deliciouslyfloral@outlook.com and the first 10 pre-orders get theirs at the wholesale price!

How do you feel about the red+pink trend?
Not a fan? I've spotted the most incredible bag on Zara that will change your mind.
