L'OREAL INFALLIBLE TOTAL COVER

It's full coverage or nothing with me when it comes to foundations. Perhaps it's through years and years of suffering with acne and absolutely hating my skin that has meant I could never feel comfortable in anything less. I mean I've tried a light coverage with spot concealing but I have so much scarring and discolouration I've accepted that it will never be an option for me.

I've recently been adoring the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation however I was rapidly going through the bottle I was gifted at Christmas and as a student, there's no way I can afford to repurchase that very often. I was after something more affordable so thank goodness L'oreal launched their Infallible Total Cover full coverage, longwear foundation - wow that's a mouthful. By no means is it similar in anyway to the Charlotte Tilbury though, the wear, formula and finish are very different.

It comes in the signature squeezy tube they've been using to house their infallible range, which is ideal because I can't imagine dispensing this product any other way. It has a thick mousse-ey texture that sits as one giant blob in the tube - honestly, you can here it move as one when you shake it. Think Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse but developed and improved by about 1000%.

L'oreal aren't fooling around when they say it's full coverage. When I first applied this I was blown away at how flawless my skin looked; there was not a single pore in sight. I still needed concealing on my blemishes but as for scarring and discolouration? covered and evened out. The trick is not to bounce or buff this product into the skin but rather to smear/swipe - sounds terrifying to anyone not comfortable with the idea of wearing a lot of make up, but hey you bought a full coverage foundation for it to be full coverage though, am I right? It's designed with Camo Stretch Technology which means it is designed to be easy to spread to get an even coat all over. I simply use a classic flat foundation brush to smear it around my face and blend it all in by swiping my beauty blender over it.

I wanted to point out however, due to it's matte mousse-like texture make sure your skin is well moisturised before application. It will, without a doubt, cling to any dry patches like there is no tomorrow.

If you're big on full coverage I would definitely suggest having a try of this drugstore gem and hey, if you're a student like me you can get 10% off it at Superdrug. I have the shade 10 Porcelain, the second lightest which I feel like is slightly too light for me nothing a bit of Benefit Hoola can't fix though.

What's your favourite full coverage foundation?

DELICIOUSLY-FLORAL IS 3!

Cannot quite get my head round the fact deliciously-floral, my baby, has just turned three years old! I thought as a celebration I would dedicate an entire post to why I love it and why starting a blog has been the best decision I've possibly ever made.

I suppose I should start at the beginning. I had been reading blogs for years and years. It started with this American Glamour beauty app, it covered beauty, fashion, advice and of course a touch of celebrity gossip and I would read it everyday religiously. Eventually they stopped updating it and I discovered the wonders of actual online blogs through Instagram. I was also really into watching youtube videos on my tiny little iPod Touch and became very much obsessed with make up. I would have a field day in my Mum and sisters make up collection and occasionally steal bits and the likes of Boots and Superdrug became my haven.

Fast forward about 7 years and I started thinking about writing my own blog. I was in my second year of sixth form aka the worst year of my life so far and I desperately needed something to cling onto to stop me from falling into a very dark place. It was in fact the week we lost our cat Gizzy and for anyone who's ever owned pets you'll know how horrific it is when you have to say goodbye. So that, on top of feeling very alone and submerged in self hate, I wasn't in a very good place. Without sounding too wanky, my blog was a glimmer of light that allowed me to pour my heart into a subject I actually adored.

On March 15th 2014, I hit publish on my first ever blogpost and I didn't tell anyone about it for ages ha! I was completely terrified. I mean my grammar and spelling is bloody awful - I cannot even begin to tell out how much I rely on auto correct, it's embarrassing! I don't use complex words and I repeat myself a lot but the best thing about blogging is that there are no rules, it's relaxed and chatty although on the odd occasion I whip out the thesaurus if I'm feeling extra fancy.

OK so this isn't one of those success stories. I didn't become a sensation overnight and my numbers are probably pathetic considering my blog is the big ol' 3. However, I've connected with so many other bloggers, worked with brands and even been to events and has given me so much confidence in myself and my ability.  Blogging is completely free and has given me a platform, a little space on the world wide web, where I can talk about beauty to my hearts content and regardless of numbers, that makes me very happy.

I look forward to continuing to grow and improve my blog, happy three years deliciously-floral!

BENEFIT BESTIES

I spotted this set way back at Christmas but in all honesty, there was no way in hell I was paying £30 for it. However, I was scrolling through Instagram last Saturday and benefit had posted saying it had been reduced to £15, which seemed much more acceptable seeing as it was a set of minis, not full sized products.

The whole concept of Benefit Besties is that you get a set of deluxe sized selection of their best selling products - perfect for anyone who has never tried anything from Benefit or if you just fancy trying some different products without committing to the full size.

The set contains:

- an adorable zip up make-up bag with Benefits 'laughter is the best cosmetic' motto.
- A leaflet containing a how-to on all the products.
- Hoola - If you've been following me for a while, especially on youtube, you will now that Benefit Hoola is my everything.
- 2 x Gimme Brow in two different shades 01 & 05 - another absolute favourite of mine. Although I have zero use for the 05 shade so will probably give that to a friend.
- Porefessional - a pore filling primer that leaves you will an airbrushed-looking base.
- High Beam - I have Sun Beam and absolutely adore that so I am looking forward to seeing how it's pinkier cousin will look.
- They're Real Mascara - I have such a love hate relationship with this product, the wand it very sharp and I end up stabbing myself in the eye with it so many times. On the other hand it leaves you with full and thick lashes, but like most mascaras on my eyes; it doesn't last all day.
- They're Real Double The Lip (Lusty Rose) - these lip products have been all over the internet at the minute, they're a lipliner and lipstick in one and I am so excited to give this a whirl.

In addition to all this, there is a voucher that entitles you to 500 boots points (£5 worth!!) when you buy the full size to any of these products, which is always a bonus!

Will you be getting your hands on this set?

MATTE ME UP

It's rare I find something from the drugstore that I love more than my high-end stuff but Barry M of all brands have just gone and done exactly that.

Barry M, a brand I only usually associate with bargain nail polish, have really upped their make up game as of lately although nothing has caught my eye until they launched their Matte Me Up Lip Kits. There are three limited edition kits in total to choose from and a selection of individual liquid lipsticks that are part of their permanent range.

I picked up two of the three shades available - I'm not sure where I found the will power not to pick up the third but I'm dead proud of myself.

Pose - a pinky nude, the lipliner is very similar to Mac Soar lip pencil.

Go To - a browny nude, the lipliner is very similar to Mac Whirl.

The pencils are soft, pigmented and don't drag across the lips, I could easily wear them on their own. The liquid lipsticks, however, are the true gems in this set. The formula is very thin and runny but opaque in colour - not a single streak in sight. Much like any liquid lipstick, they are quite drying but the lasting power is insane even after food and drink they stick around. I only have to re-apply because I bite my lips and end up biting the colour off - lovely, I know.

Go To is definitely my favourite shade, the colour is so flattering.

If you can still find any of the kits in store go grab em' quick! They're only available through Boots and Superdrug.

OOTD | OVERSIZED KNITWEAR AND FISHNETS

Along with just about everyone on the planet at the minute, I'm obsessed with the fishnet trend. Paired with ripped jeans, skirts and even oversized knitwear, they're an easy way to grunge up a look.

I get mine from eBay because there is absolutely no way I'm paying £6+ from high street shops when chances are I'll end up ruining them. My jumper dress is from forever21, I can't find it on the website but it's a simple oversized knit in the size L for extra roomy all-you-can-eat comfort - here's something similar on asos. The chunky boots are from New Look (similar pair here).

What's your favourite way to wear the fishnet trend?
