Sorry to be an absolute buzz kill but this palette is no longer available. It was sold as part of their christmas collection last year and sold out pretty quick, however all the shades within the palette are still available to buy individually in their classic bullet packaging.

In 1994 MAC created the MAC AIDS FUND, along with it they created a lipstick in which all proceeds go towards funding organisations that help those suffering with HIV/AIDS in under deserved regions and populations. You can find out more about it here - MAC AIDS FUND

Mac describes it as an intense brownish blue-red. It's in their cult matte formula and offers serious pigmentation, the shade is perfect for autumn/winter. I love pairing this with clean skin, groomed brows and lots of mascara.

Muted Pink-Beige with shimmer - I'm not totally sure where the 'shimmer' part is in this because it's certainly not visible in the pan or the lips but whatever. This is my absolute favourite in the entire palette, it's velvet teddy's pinkier sister in a much more hydrating Satin formula - so if you found velvet teddy to be too peach, try this one out for size. It's my favourite nude and pairs beautifully with all make-up looks.

Described as a Muted Brownish Plum, this one also looks beautiful for autumn/winter looks. I personally am not a fan of completely brown lips; whilst it looks incredible on some people, I need to have some colour in there and the plum does that subtly. Similarly to VIVA GLAM I, it's in mac's cult matte formula and doesn't lack in the pigment department either.

Mid-toned Rose with Gold Pearl. Metallic lips are a big trend at the minute and this frosted formula is great for people wanting to dip their toes into the trend rather than diving head first. The gold pearl is subtle but captures the light beautifully and the formula feels lovely and comfortable on the lips.

neutral pink with pearl. This is VIVA GLAM II's lustre finish sister, it looks much more 'glossier' on the lips and is slightly more pink than mac patisserie. This is great for throwing on for an every day look, I love the lustre finishes they're so easy to apply and don't really need a mirror for touch ups.

Terracotta plum with pearl - another lustre finish. It's slightly lighter than III and has a touch more brown. However it's not as opaque and personally I find it much easier to wear.

Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick

Honestly, I think Maybelline wins hands down in the drugstore contour department. They just seem to be nailing it with every release and there new launch is no exception.

The V-shape duo stick is a handy two in one (as the name would suggest) that both contours and highlights with a just a swipe. Sounds gimmicky, right? I was a little skeptical, I must admit but I'm pleasantly surprised. The contour shade is ashy toned, perfect for adding a shadow like definition and the highlight is a matte nude that lifts the features without being patchy. The formula also blends like an absolute dream.

If you watch my Youtube, you'll know I absolutely swear by the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Contour kit - well the contour shade of it as the highlight is honestly the worst thing I've ever tried. But this handy little wand has over taken that spot, both shades are equally as good and the bullet applicator eradicates the need for a brush! Plus the finish is so subtle, perfect for everyday.

Plus it's absolutely perfect for on the go touch ups or traveling.

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

If you've not heard about this drugstore highlighting palette then: 1.get out of that rock you've been living under 2. run to your nearest superdrug 3. swatch this beauty 4. thank me after you're £10 poorer but a whole lot glowy-er.

People are going crazy for the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette and it's not hard to see why. To start with, the packaging is absolutely beautiful for a highstreet product, the gold makes it feel so luxurious. Inside there is a huge mirror, a brush (which has since found its way to the bin- it was naff), three powder highlighters and one cream highlighter. It's the quality of the powders that has got me reaching for this palette every single day.

Now if you're not a fan of highlight that can be seen from outer space then perhaps this might not send your heart a flutter because boy are these highlights are reflective!

Ecliptic - The only cream highlight in the palette and has a pinky/lilac undertone. Doesn't set to a powder finish but doesn't feel sticky at all.

Hemisphere - A metallic silver/lilac with a smooth baked formula.

Subsolar - A silky yellow, much more subtle than the baked ones.

Equinox - A metallic rose gold with a smooth baked formula.

For an even more intense highlight, you could layer the powders over the cream. These can be applied using a fan brush for a light glow or opt for something denser for a more intense finish. I've seen people of all different skin tones and it looks equally as incredible on everyone!

The entire Charlotte Tilbury range is something extraordinary, created by the most incredible celebrity make-up artist, it was obvious right from the start that it would be something spectacular. Tilbury has worked in the business for over 20 years and with her extensive knowledge and expertise, her products truly reflect her innovative mind without compromising on quality.

Unfortunately this does mean the products aren't exactly 'affordable', they are luxury right down to the packaging. But when you splurge on a CT product you know you're getting your moneys worth.

Behold, one of the most beautiful palettes to ever grace my make-up collection - The Dolce Vita.
From what I've seen, this palette appears to be the most popular and it's no surprise why. The colours are a range of beautiful warm bronzey coppers with that stunning glitter shade, it's a completely unique palette.

On the back of the packaging there is a code to how CT suggests you wear the shades -of course it is completely up to you how you wear eyeshadow; this is just simply a guide.

1. Prime - This is a soft champagne with a fine shimmer running through it, CT suggest wearing this all over the lid to act as a base for the other shadows. I would normally be like 'Hell no don't put shimmer up to the brow bone' but I absolutely love how this looks because the shimmer is so finely milled it's more like a glow, plus it helps the other shades glide over the top and blend beautifully together. I also use this as an inner corner and brow bone highlight.

2. Enhance - A warm shimmery copper. This is the shade that will bring out any eye colour especially blue and green eyes! I wear this in my crease for more of a day time look or all over the lid to really smoke things out. Again, this has a very fine shimmer running throughout and is very pigmented. This shade blends like an absolute dream.

3. Smoke - This deep bronze shade takes any look from day time to evening. It can be worn along the lash line and outer corner for extra dimension. I imagine it would look super glam worn across the lid for a super smokey look.

4. Pop - a unique pressed bronze glitter. Simply swipe this across the lid with a finger to completely transform the look. You still get the same effect as a glitter just without the mess and fall out.

New In | L'Oreal

I was lucky enough to receive a sample of the new Miss Hippie mascara and Brow Artist Maker from L'oreal. If you've read my blog for a while, or watched my YouTube videos, you will have seen that I'm a huge fan of L'oreal Mascaras and I was super excited to see they were adding a new addition to their 'Mega Volume' range.

The brush is much thicker than the likes of Miss Manga, instead offering a more fluttery, volumised effect; ideal for creating that festival make-up look. L'Oreal describe it as having Kaleidoscope bristles, they coat every single lash both top and bottom.

Usually I don't like mascaras when they're fresh, I find the formula is too wet however I loved this mascara right from the first use. The formula isn't overly 'wet' but just enough that it doesn't clump up when layered, like most mascaras. I do find that 2 coats is the perfect amount for me, the first offers a good amount of separation and length, then once that is dry I go in with a second layer to really amp up the volume.

The product appears to be aimed at anyone trying to create a festival make-up look and I can see why; it is long lasting and is the first mascara I've tried that hasn't transferred to my lid however it isn't waterproof, which is the only downside.

Unfortunately I was sent the Brow Artist Maker in the shade Dark Brunette, which I absolutely no where near my shade. Never the less, I tried it out to test formula and ease of use and I like it. It's nothing like I've tried before, it's a slightly thicker crayon with a Kabuki brush on the other side to diffuse the colour in the brows for a softer effect, nice to see brands straying away from the crisp instagram brow. If you are, however, brunette and are struggling to find an ashy-toned brow product from the drugstore, you need to check this out. With absolutely no orange/warm tones in sight, I need to go have a swatch in store to see if the other shades in this range also steer clear from warm tones.
