L'Oreal True Match Foundation

I'm going to be honest with you, the last time I tried the L'oreal True Match foundation; I absolutely hated it. It clung to dry patches, it made my skin look weird, it lasted all about 30 seconds, I could go on... I couldn't understand the hype at all. I was a no from me.

Due to previous experience, I avoided picking up the new formula in the new fancy bottle despite the continuous hype. But on a recent food shop in ASDA with my mum, I picked it up for £7. I felt like I had to try it again, especially for that price - "it's for the good of the blog" I whispered as I lowered it into the trolley.

You know what? I'm bloody glad I did!
The formula has been improved so much and I'm so glad I tempted myself into trying it again because I haven't worn anything else on my face since. I'd say it has a good medium coverage, I apply an extra layer where I need it (T-zone), it builds up the coverage easily without looking cakey.

I definitely wouldn't say it's matte nor dewy, it sits somewhere within a demi-matte/natural finish. For those with dryer skin types, would probably only need a light dusting of powder to set and you're good to go. My skin is leaning towards oily at the minute and so needs powdering throughout the day, but I don't really mind the glow and only powder down my t-zone. But if you love your bases super matte, then this probably won't suit you.

I picked up the shade N2 Vanilla, without a tan this is definitely not my shade (NC15 usually) however post-fake tan, this is perfect for matching my face to the rest of my body.

The finish of this foundation is like nothing I own, it leaves the skin looking so airbrushed and perfected. I've received so many compliments whist wearing this which is usually a good sign considering the state of my skin usually.
