February Favourites | 2016

I'm going to save you the whole 'where's the month gone?' rubbish because I'm starting to sound like a broken record, so I'm just going to jump straight into my February Favourites.

First up is a mascara. Now if you've watched my YouTube Videos  (drinking game, take a shot every time I plug my Youtube throughout this post ha!) you'd have seen me using the Revlon Ultimate All In One Mascara and I simply can't get over how absolutely tiny the brush is. I've dreamed of finding mascaras with super tiny brushes that allow you to coat each and every lash from root to tip, from inner corner to outer and here I am, able to pick it up from the drugstore for less than a £10! Impressed doesn't quite cut it. The only thing that could improve it was if they brought out a waterproof version. curly, fanned out lashes? I'll take the lot.

The Freedom Pro highlight palette has been one of the best drugstore purchases in a long time. Not only is this palette completely affordable, it contains not one but 8 shades of highlighters and contain both powder and cream finishes. It covers all highlighter bases from cool to warm tones, theres simply no need for me to buy any other. However, I'm addicted to make-up so I'll continue to buy highlighters regardless of whether I need them.

YSL hands down, do the best packaging ever. If you're looking to spice up your beauty collection with a luxury purchase I would 100% recommend the Rouge Volupte Lipsticks. They're light weight on the lips, pigmented and hydrating. My favourite shade is no.1 which is a stunning soft pink nude that pairs beautifully with smokey eyes.

Because I'm hooked on Karima from Shameless Fripperies' youtube, I've found myself preferring that natural bushy brow as apposed to the more popular instagram brow. My face is so wonky it simply doesn't lend itself to a precise brow, it just eventuates the un-even-ness, however brushing up my brows and filling in any sparse areas with the Soap and Glory Archery Pencil with the tint/felt tip end has been doing the job just nicely throughout February. It's lovely and thin so mimics brow hairs easily and the shade is lovely, it's not too warm. It's not necessarily cool either but then again I'm yet to find a product from the drugstore that is.

If you follow me on twitter you will have seen the odd tweet regarding my skin. I trialled quite a few new products this month, including a primer, moisturiser and cleanser. Clearly that was a massive no no, but I'm way to impatient and when I buy new things I like to try them asap. However karma hit me 'like a big yellow school bus' and my skin freaked the freak out. Painful under the skin bumps appeared all over my face, it became so dry it was unbearable and opening my mouth made my eyes water. I also developed patches of eczema under my eyes. All signs pointed to an allergic reaction to one if not all the products and I became desperate in the big to relieve the dryness. I eventually turned to coconut oil. If you're acne prone like me that slavering oil on your face is also probably not the best thing to do, but honestly it was the only thing that provided some sort of relief. It it so worth the hype. I also love leaving this in my hair over night for a super hydrating mask, it leaves my hair so glossy and soft.

I finally got round to purchasing a Macbook air this month, after my previous laptop decided to give up the ghost and I must say it has been one of the best investments I've made in a long time! A laptop that loads within seconds makes me very happy. Plus it's meant that I am finally able to edit and upload youtube videos, which is now my new favourite thing and I just wanted to say thank you for every one who has subscribed, liked and left me a lovely comment. If you haven't subscribed, what are you doing? support a gal, search 'deliciously-floral' or click here - https://youtu.be/_SbBzB4WOA4 :)

Whats been the product you've reached for the most this month?
