Wearable Autumnal Make-up

Think autumn and you think berry lips and smokey eyes, unfortunately neither particularly wearable for everyday in work/school etc. situations. But that's not to say you can't channel autumn in your make-up entirely.
For this look I'm using the infamous Cranberry from Mac - A warm berry shimmer that screams autumn. Sounds impossible to pull off for everyday? it's surprisingly wearable. It's very pigmented so tapping the brush in the pan lightly and washing light layers over the lid allowed me to control the intensity. Another tip is to keep it to the top lid only, not only is this placement fresh-looking, it stops it looking too smokey or as if your eyes are irritated; then you would need liner, white liner and an inner corner highlight to counteract tha,t which would then go from wearable to night-out.

Keep the skin fresh, but conceal any bags and blemishes; the red in the shadow will highlight any redness on the face. Additionally, this shadow can make you look zombie-esque, a touch of bronzer will do the trick to counteract that.

Painterly and Soft Ochre Paintpot Dupe

Top-Bottom: Creme de Nude, Creme de Rose, Painterly Paintpot

I'm always keeping my eye out for any new additions to my favourite drugstore cream shadows - the Maybelline colour tattoos. The latest being two new shades in their Creamy Matte collection; Creme De Nude and Creme De Rose.

Creme de nude is Maybelline's answer for mac Soft Ochre Paintpot. It's a matte yellow toned nude, perfect for cancelling out veins and discolouration on the lid before applying other shadows over top, as well as making other shadows appear more vibrant. I'd had soft ochre on my wishlist for ages, but this alternative has saved me a bucket load.

Creme De Rose is an exact dupe for Mac Painterly Paintpot, at a fraction of the cost. This is more rosey toned, as the name would suggest, better suited to those with more pink undertones (if using it as a base). However this shows up a little too rosey on my yellow-toned skin, so I'm using it more as a shadow.

Similarly to the other colours I've tried in the range, the formula is lovely and creamy, giving you time to blend before they set and last all day without creasing.

Update & September Favourites | 2015

It genuinely feels like I haven't stopped since I went back to college at the beginning of the month. As it's my last year, the pressures seriously on to get all my uni stuff sorted, whilst still trying to keep up with work and ensuring I have everything I need for auditions. As a result, my blog has had to take a bit of a back seat, however now I'm settled back into a routine, regular posts should be appearing again.

Additionally, if you're wondering why Deliciously-Floral.co.uk posts are not appearing on your bloglovin' feed, I had a spur of the moment decision to change my blog name last month and as a result lost all my followers on bloglovin'. However after listening to family and friends, I've decided to change it back, unfortunately that means there are two deliciously-floral bloglovin' accounts, sorry for the confusion! You can follow me ((here)).

Anyway, back to what you probably came here for - September Favourites.

L'oreal Miss Manga Waterproof Mascara
This gives serious volume length and separation, without any clumpiness. The best part is the formula is waterproof and therefore holds a curl like a dream without any smudging or flaking. Definitely one of the best mascaras I've tried in a long time.

Benefit Dandelion Blush
I've had this in my collection for ages, but the bulky packaging always meant it was packed away at the back of a drawer. However I've been hooked on Lisa Potter-Dixon's YouTube channel and her use of Benefit products has not only given me a wishlist the length of Britain, but has also made me dig out and use anything of benefit I already own. This is such a gorgeous pale pink that really perks up the complexion.

Collection Extreme 24hr Felt liner
I wont waffle on too much about this as I've just uploaded a full review, which you can read (here). Basically it is one of the most long wearing liquid liners I have ever tried. I love it so much I had to pick up both the brown and purple shade, so far I'm still just as impressed!

Zara LVII (The Limited Collection) Perfume
This smell reminds me exactly of another scent but I cannot place it, which is possibly the most fustrating thing ever. Anyway, it's described as having a floral/fruity scent that is quite intense. The best part about this is the lasting power, fragrances last about an hour on me tops but even after a day at college I can still smell this on my skin.

Foam Muscle Roller
My muscles have taken an absolute beating since going back to college after 10 weeks of doing absolutely nothing #badmtstudent. This has been an absolute life safer, helping my muscles to recover quicker as well as relieving pain and increasing flexibility.

Over sized cardigans
Seriously what is this weather. It's not cold enough for coats, not hot enough to go without. I purchased an oversized cardigan to combat the struggles and I legit haven't stopped wearing it, it's so cosy!

Eylure Pro-Brow Dybrow

I actually have eyebrows, who knew?
I've been debating dying my brows for ages, as naturally they're pretty much invisible and filling them in in the morning is an absolute ball-ache especially when I sweat them off the minute I start a dance class.

The Eylure Pro-Brow Dybrow was on offer in Superdrug recently so I thought, what's the worst that could happen?

Following both the instructions and this Pixiwoo tutorial, I combined the colour cream and the activator into a paste that doesn't run. Then using the mascara wand that comes with the kit, I applied it to the brow hairs like I would a brow gel, avoiding the skin underneath. I also applied Vaseline to the surrounding skin to ensure it didn't stain it.

BEFORE

AFTER

After 2 minutes I wiped it off and repeated the process 3 times to get the desired colour. I couldn't believe how easy it was to do and now I actually have eyebrows even without make-up! The kit claims to last up to six weeks, but we shall see. Even if it doesn't last as long, it's super easy to top up
Be sure to complete a patch test before application, just in case of allergic reaction to the henna dye.
