Orange Lips | Mac Morange

Behold the holy grail of all orange lipsticks - the infamous Morange. A true vibrant orange in a super creamy formula, surprisingly flattering and easy to wear with it's neutral underones, it's not too red or too yellow. Mac describes it as a loudmouth orange which is pretty much the perfect way to sum it up, although it is coming up a lot more red on camera.

I absolutely love pairing this with super bronzed skin, but if you're struggling to find ways to wear orange,  I have a whole pinterest board dedicated to it - here. (don't forget to follow me too!). Some of my favourite are:

Mac Lipstick | Velvet Teddy

At long last this highly coveted beauty is mine! Whilst Kylie Jenner brought this shade to my attention, I didn't buy it to re-create her somewhat, ever expanding lips. I love brown toned lippys and the way they look against my complexion and I needed this colour to fill the gap in my collection. However getting a hold of it hasn't been easy, although it was sure worth the wait.

Mac describes Velvet Teddy to be a deep toned beige, perfect for both every day and night-time wear. It's a matte finish, however not as drying as Ruby Woo, it's definitely not hydrating.

I absolutely love it and am very happy to now have it in my collection!

New Look Do Make-Up?!

Forgive me if I am late on this bandwagon but whilst trailing around new look, I noticed they have a complete stand of own brand make-up consisting of baked blushes/highlighters/eye-shadows, as well as foundations, cream shadows, liners, mascaras, nail polish and even brow products (and breathe).

As a complete magpie for all things make-up I found myself swatching just about everything and to my surprise, they actually had some good quality products. In total I picked up three items to trial; an eye shadow, lip liner and an eye brow pencil.

The baked eye shadow I picked up was in the shade Biscuit, which is almost an exact dupe for Mac All That Glitters, the only difference being the baked option offers a lot more sparkle.

I'm going through a total nude lip liner phase and so for £1.99, I had to pick up this New Look offering in the shade 72. This brown toned pink shade is creamy and easy to use, whilst offering a lot of pigmentation.

Lastly I picked up the Eye Brow Pencil in the shade 12; a cool toned brown, ideal for blondes. It's very waxy, not so good if you want more natural looking hair strokes. However, for the price (£1.99) it's actually a really good product.

The packaging is a simple matte black with white writing. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the products, I have my eye on the baked highlighter next; it's beautiful!

I bloody love this stuff, By leaving it on for only an hour, it leaves me with an even natural glow rather than an obvious tan. It does have a slight smell, but nothing too in your face and it lasts so well.

I went to see this Wednesday and I have to say it was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time! Imelda Staunton is absolutely incredible as Momma Rose and I would 100% recommend going to watch it at the Savoy Theatre next time you're in London. I could quite happily go watch it again and again and aga..

3. Iced Coffee
I dream of swimming in a pool of iced caramel lattes.

This post took me twice the time it usually takes because I'm being so easily distracted by this colouring book. It's so bloody therapeutic. A great option if you suffer with stress/anxiety, really helps to relax and take your mind elsewhere.

Another candidate for my ultimate summer lip. This super creamy formula packs a serious punch in the statement lip department plus it's in limited edition ombre/metallic packaging so I don't think it gets any better than that really.

L'Oreal Infallible 24hr-Matte Foundation
After reading a tonne of rave reviews I picked this up hoping for a gorgeous long lasting matte foundation. ha next joke. This broke me out, lasting all about 30 seconds on my skin before moving around, looked cakey and made my skin look dry and flakey #rhymetimewithliv
Overall, not a good foundation what-so-ever.

Hope you've all had a wonderful week.

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer | Dissapointing products

If I'm honest, I'm not surprised that this product would feature in a disappointing product post. They aren't a bad brand in themselves, they offer cheap make-up that's not dreadful and unfortunately their innovative products might seem interesting but at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

I was intrigued by the Velvet Lip Lacquers and decided for £3, I might as well try one out. I was especially drawn to the shade Atomic - an almost neon, orange red. The colour is absolutely flawless and is very pigmented, it's just a shame about the formula.

They apply like a cream and then after about 3 minutes of sticky lips, it sets to a fully matte finish. Perfect, however when I went to drink it started crumbling off onto my straw, then when I smacked my lips together to try and even it out again, it pretty much crumbled off completely.

Liquid lipsticks in themselves are tricky to get right and very few drugstore brands have cracked it. Just wish the Bourjois would release a similar shade in their Rouge Edition Velvet formula, hint hint.

Empties | May 2015

I feel like the best reviews are the ones that have been formed after the product has been used up entirely. Hence why I love empties post. But the real reason behind this post is that in true Easter tradition, I've had a little clear out and found myself hoarding a lot of empty containers, but before I binned them, I'd share my final thoughts.

This is a zinc sulphthat you spray on like a toner after you've cleansed. I like it but I don't love it. It feels refreshing when sprayed directly on to the skin, but I can't help but feel like a lot of product gets wasted that way. Instead I spray it onto a cotton pad and wipe it over my face. In terms of clearing my skin, I haven't seen any significant improvement.
Would I repurchase? no, not worth the hype.

I actually quite liked this. I used it like a moisturizer when my skin was playing up and it seemed to really calm things down. But it's been a while since I used this up and I haven't felt the urgent need to go out and repurchase, It's a product I can live without.

Removes make-up really well whilst being super gentle on the skin and eyes. It's the only micellar water that hasn't caused my eyes to swell up, however I wouldn't recommend it if you're a waterproof mascara wearer, this stuff doesn't even touch it.
Would I repurchase? No. My No.7 does a better job and it removes waterproof mascara like a dream.

I used this as the first step in my cleansing routine, however it cannot be used on the eyes. I love that it didn't aggrivate my skin, but it isn't an essential in my routine.
Would I repurchase? No.

This is my ulitmate go-to after an compulsive picking sesh. It's antibacterial properties help prevent transfer of bacteria that could cause more breakouts. Plus it really helps to calm the skin, especially when it's playing up.
Would I repurchase? yes!

Amazing at disinfecting and cleaning my brushes in between washes. I switched the lid for a pump from superdrug as the original lid made me waste way to much product.
Would I repurchase? yes, definitely.

Holds my brows in place all day without leaving them crunchy. It looks super natural and the tiny fibres help my brows look more full.
Would I repurchase? yes.

Don't be put off by the name, this is a gorgeous sweet perfume that's not in your face. I've worn this since they released it and this is the second bottle I've finished.
Would I repurchase? No. It's time I moved on to something a bit more grown up, like the Jo Malone Vanilla and Anise which I have been obsessed with recently.

I am obsessed with this. I'm properly loving the whole 70's denim trend that's about at the minute and this skirt is a great way for me to get out of my beloved jeans and venture into some more spring/summer appropriate wear.

This has been out of stock everywhere for god knows how long and I've been dying to see what the fuss is about. If you haven't heard about it then you should probs crawl out from that rock you've been living under and swatch it.

3. Teen Wolf
Massive shout out to the casting directors of this program as they've basically compiled some of the most attractive males into one tv series. keep up the good work my friends.

4. Lemonade coconut water
This shit is the bomb. No seriously, nothing screams summer like coconut water and this lemon version makes for a perfect hydrating, refreshing pick-me-up.

My course involves a lot of dance and despite already being able to do the splits, I've been keen to really improve my flexibility. This handy e guide is super useful, offering a tonne of images of stretches targeting different areas to get you into both side splits and middle splits. plus it doesn't involve any ridiculous equipment, just you and a yoga mat (or towel).

Hayfever
I love spring/summer but you know what I love more? being able to breathe. Excuse me whilst I OD on Antihistamines (obviously I'm kidding, the dosage is there for a reason people)
