I absolutely hate this song, but it felt quite fitting as a blog title.
Being 'blessed' with acne usually means my base is probably my most important step in my make-up routine. Covering the unsightly scars and blemishes is now second nature and I've been loving my little routine I've been opting for at the moment.
I start off with using my Garnier Miracle Skin cream as a primer, this is one of those products that comes out a white cream and then alters to your skin tone as you blend it in. It's a multi purpose base that evens out skin tone, hydrates and offers a lot of good skincare goodies. I then follow this up with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation - I love the mousse texture that this has, it feels almost weightless on the skin but seriously packs a punch in the coverage department (clues in the name). It's also a combination of products that continue to look better as the day progresses.
I then go to town with the concealer, my blemishes are usually bright red and no matter how full coverage the foundation I'll always need to follow up with a concealer. My all time favourite is definitely the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer, it's perfect for under the eyes as well as blemishes and offers enough coverage without looking cakey or obvious. I waited a long time to get my hands on it and I have to say it was worth every single penny.
To then set everything in place I use the best drugstore powder there is and that's the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder. This finely milled powder offers a final hit of coverage as well as setting my base and ensuring that it lasts all day even with my ridiculously oily skin at the moment.
