The Best Drugstore Gel Liner

I have such a love/hate relationship with black liners. The ones that claim to be waterproof/long lasting, drip off my face within 30 seconds of application. Of course, it's different for everyone, but nothing ever seems to stick around despite the fact I love wearing it for the initial effect.

I recently had been using the L'oreal super liner which is a liquid liner with a felt nip/pen type applicator. However, despite how easy it was to use, it would either transfer or melt so I needed to try something else. I've tried gel liners from the likes of Rimmel and Maybelline but neither worked for me, so on a recent trip to boots I picked up the Seventeen gel liner for £3.99. Much cheaper than the alternatives, this didn't claim to be long lasting/waterproof, I didn't really mind as I just needed it for one specific make-up look that involved smudgy smokey liner.

To my surprise, this actually one of the best liners I've tried. It comes in a tiny round pot with a tiny brush, which I discarded of immediately as it was far too small to actually comfortably hold in your hand. The difference between this liner and the others is that once it's drawn on, it sets and doesn't budge! It doesn't claim to be waterproof, yet managed to stay put even after tears & sweat (TMI?).

Although it's long lasting, it's not difficult to remove at the end of the day - one quick swipe of the No.7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-up Remover and it's gone!

I know it's a bold statement, but it's definitely close to hitting holy grail status.
