Maybelline Colour Elixir

If you'd asked me what I thought about lip gloss this time last year I would probably just describe it as sticky and yucky. But brands have been working hard on creating formulas that not only are they stick free, they also can be worn alone due to the levels of pigmentation. I have truely converted in to a lip gloss addict and with good timing comes the launch of the Maybelline Colour Elixirs.

The packaging has been made to look as if its a lipstick however, inside the petite packaging contains one of the best lip gloss formulas I've ever tried.  Non-sticky, long lasting (for a gloss) and a gorgeous scent that isn't too sickly sweet.

I Picked up the shade 500- Mandarine Rupture, which is a burnt orange shade. I wish these had been launched at the beginning of summer as I can only describe it as the perfect summer shade. Orange lips were also a major trend this season, this gloss allows those, who aren't that daring when it comes to lip shades, a chance to access the trend without stepping too far from their comfort zones.

I don't think they're actually out yet, but the lady in superdrug kindly allowed me to buy one and I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest!
