Kylie Jenner Make-up Tutorial

I am probably one of the millions of people obsessed with Kylie Jenners' make-up. From the full pouty mauve lips to the perfectly defined eye, I am hooked.

Of course not all of us are blessed with being born into an incredibly famous family, with make-up artists on hand, as well as being as drop dead gorgeous as the Jenner/Kardashian clan, which is why I've spent a fair amount of time watching tutorials, analysing pictures just to see if I could in any way re-create it.

This look is definitely not your everyday 'natural' look and a lot of products are used.

I start off with a flawless base. To achieve this I applied my Nars Sheer Glow foundation in the shade Mont Blanc (how predictable?), then went in with the concealer Palette that I purchased from ebay and went to town with the classic Kardashian contour and highlight methods and then blended that out using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Moving on to brows, Kylies brows are strong and defined so using the Soap and Glory Brow archery I filled in my brows a little darker than I normally would then outlined them with concealer so that they appeared more defined.

For the eyes,I firstly used Mac Painterly Paint Pot and then I used a face powder to act as my base and to absorb any oils because I only used matte eyeshadows and they're a lot easier to blend on a matte base. The first shade I used was the warm toned light brown/amber shade from the Sleek Oh So Special Palette, all over the lid and into the crease. This is also acting as my transition shade. I then went in with the darker brown next to it and placed that directly into the crease, then blended well. In most of the pictures, it appears as if Kylie is wearing a inner corner highlight, so I used the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk and then blended that out with the Beige shade from the Palette. I also ran the darker brown underneith my eyes. Kylies winged eye liner looks as if its done using a gel liner, but seeing as I don't get on with them at all I just used my L'oreal Superliner and winged it out.
It's also pretty evident that she uses false lashes, so I applied the Eyelure 116 after applying a couple layers of my trusty Natural Collection Water Guard Mascara.

I then set my face make-up using the Bourjois Java Rice Powder. In the picture I took the main inspiration from, it didn't appear as if Kylie was wearing any blush and seeing as I'm not a big blush fan, I skipped it all together. But I did apply a small amount of the Topshop Glow Pot to the tops of the cheekbones.

For the Lips I used Rimmel Lipliner in Spice to slightly over draw my lips and then went in with the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade 07 Nude-Ist. I spent ages trying to find a good drugstore Mauve lipstick with the right formula. This is very matte and lasts all day so does the job just nicely.
