August Favourites 2014

We've reached that time of year where we say good bye to summer and hello to my favourite time of the year - Autumn. Bring on the berry lips, pumpkin spiced lattes and woolly jumpers.
But before all that, I thought I'd round up all the things I've been absolutely loving this summer.

Lets start with beauty. First up is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade Nude-ist. It feels like forever since I bought this although it was only at the beginning of the month. I bought it purely for my Kylie Jenner Tutorial and ended up falling in love with it. It's a beautiful matte mauve shade that lasts all day. I have a feeling that this will be gracing my lips throughout autumn, in between the berry lips of course.

This month has also seen my love, for the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation, return. It's full coverage without being cakey and it has a incredible finish that's neither matte or dewy. It's perfect for every day wear as it contains SPF 15. I found this looks best when applied with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

If I had to pick a favourite favourite it would have to be my Urban Decay Naked Palette. Words cannot describe how much I love this beauty, I've used it every single day since I bought it and I am completely obsessed. I have a review of it here but to basically sum it up - it's the and everyone should own it.

Moving on to skincare favourites and this month there are two. My skin has decided to go a bit cray and break out especially round my chin, jaw line and cheeks. Oh the joys of teenage skin. I have no idea where it's come from but with the help of the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ and Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser they have cleared up a treat. The cleanser gets every last ounce of make-up off my skin (and it smells heavenly) and the Effaclar Duo+  treats the area that's breaking out to soothe the blemishes and prevent any more from showing up. Although some scaring remains, all the blemishes have gone.

I have been obsessing over the Seche Vite top coat since I bought it. I'm literally the most impatient person ever when it comes to waiting for my nails to dry and I usually chip them within the first hour so this product is a life saver. At £9 it's more of an investment although it's worth every single penny, I have a full review here.

My clothes favourites are shirts. I bought a white one from H&M in July and I've literally worn it to death so I went back and bought a blue one and I love it just as much, especially when paired with jeans they're literally the most comfortable thing ever.

September usually brings new starts and new beginnings, so good luck to anyone starting a new year at school, starting college or university!
