A Top Coat For The Impatient

Due to work on Sundays and Wednesdays, I paint my nails about twice a week. To be fair about a day is probably the maximum I can actually wear nail polish before it's begins to chip.

I've been eyeing up the Seche Vite topcoat for ages but was never really ready to fork out the £9 on it, but it's basically a product made for me. It promises to dry your fresh manicure in a matter of seconds, perfect for people who are super impatient. It also promises to extend the length of your nail varnish and prevent it from chipping.

The application is a little unconventional, instead of wiping the excess of on the side of the bottle, the instructions say to keep a good amount on the brush. I was worried that it would pick up the wet nail varnish and mess up my manicure, but it glided over it like a dream. It did pretty much dry within seconds but the finish is so 'wet look' that I was too scared to test it the first time through fear of leaving a finger print mark in my mani.

It has also stopped my manicure from chipping which is a massive bonus. As previously mentioned, I can't keep my nails chip free for longer than a day but even after 4 days it's still completely chip free! The only minor problem is that the varnish is wearing slightly at the end of the nail but it's pretty much invisible unless you look really closely.

The bottle is pretty huge, so you feel like you're getting your moneys worth as well.
You can buy it here.
