London Haul

I took a few cheeky trips to London recently and found myself doing rather a lot of spending, which of course is inevitable when you're going to a city full of shops that either aren't available anywhere else or are a complete nightmare to get to. Here's a few things I picked up over the two day trips.

I only had one item on my wishlist that I aimed to pick up and that was my NARS Sheer Glow foundation and I definitely wasn't leaving without it. I purchased the shade Mont Blanc which I'd say is a perfect match for my skin tone. This holy grail foundation has been raved about by just about everyone and anyone and with good reason. As I said on my Instagram, it's 100% worth the hype!

I've always been a fan of Topshop make-up and their newest products are no exception. I had no intentions of purchasing anything from their range but after swatching both the Glow stick and the Wax and Wayne eye shadow, I knew I had to have them. I have nothing like either of these products in my collection and I have to say it was money well spent. I also have an entire post dedicated to the eye shadow here.

I'd heard so many good things about KIKO make-up, so when I discovered there was a store in Oxford Street I was all over it. I think I swatched just about everything on my hand (and all the way up my arm) but limited myself to only a few products. In the end I settled with a glossy lip pencil in the shade 610, which is a stunning baby pink shade. I'd never tried a glossy lip pencil before but for only a £1(!) I figured there was no harm in trying it out. I also purchased a Pencil lip gloss in the shade 07, another light pink shade but more on the nude side, this would look mega with a gun metal smokey eye. My final make-up product was a Glow Touch Lip & cheek pot in the shade 100 Intuition Peach. I watched Gabriella (Velvetgh0st) rave about these a while ago and after swatching it, it was straight in my basket. I haven't stopped wearing it since I bought it, wish I'd picked up more.

My final beauty purchases were made in Selfridges. Selfridges beauty hall is my idea of heaven (minus the snobby women on certain counters), you can find just about every high end make-up, skincare and hair care brand in there as well as some American goodies and minis of all your favourite products. My first beauty item was an EOS lip balm. Now I must admit, they're not the most amazing lip balm on the planet hydration wise but for application they are the bomb! If you've tried one you know what i'm on about. Plus they're so cute and come in the nicest of scents, especially the lemon one. I also picked up two mini MAC pigments. Well my sister purchased Blue Brown and I purchased Rose but we've both decanted half so technically I have both it's just one is no longer in a MAC pot. I wished I'd picked up more from that range, trying stuff out in miniature size is so handy. My final purchase in Selfridges was an Allure magazine, one of the only places in the UK that sell it and that sucks because it's my favourite.

For some reason I also went a bit jewellery crazy. I picked up the floral ear cuff, turquoise earrings and the mint green necklace from Forever 21. The cat ear earrings are from H&M and the gold necklace is from Topshop. It's amazing what a bit of statement jewellery can do to an outfit.

I had such a lovely time in London, so much so that I've now got post London blues. I can definitely see myself living there one day, I have just got to teach myself this thing called 'will power' in the mean time.
