June Favourites 2014

I have been excited for this favourites all month. There's been so many things that I've been loving right from the very beginning of June and I can't wait to share them all with you.

I thought I'd mix things up this week and start with non-beauty favourites (crazy, I know) first up is a TV series. If you've spoken to me at all this month, I will have mentioned this program at least once during conversation, it's the 6 part BBC series Happy Valley. Oh my god. It's the best TV program to come from the BBC in a long time (in my opinion), it was thoroughly gripping from start to finish and I may or may not have re-watched it at least 3 times. I would try and explain it to you but I don't want to ruin anything.  Sara Lancashire was bloody fantastic to watch along with the incredibly messed up role of Tommy Lee-Royce played by the rather attractive James Norton (it's totally ok to fancy him, just not his character). I'm very, very tempted to download the series so I can re-watch it to my hearts content.

Other non-beauty favourites come from recent jewellery purchases. I am obsessed with gold and rose gold at the moment and I am equally obsessed with this rose gold watch from Avon which only cost me £10(!) , I'm also loving this gold necklace from Topshop, it has two chains with plain bars across each one. I haven't stopped wearing them.

Back to what you're all here for, my beauty favourites. Of course my number 1 favourite goes to my beloved NARS sheer glow, another thing I have not shut up about this month. The coverage, the formula ah, it's just amazing! I have a full review of it here.

Next is a few Topshop make-up goodies. The first being the GlowStick - it does exactly what it says on the tin, it's a highlighter in stick form. It's kind of a cream to powder finish, very blendable and it leaves the most incredible dewy glow on the skin without leaving you resembling a disco ball. Next is a due chrome eye shadow from their new festival range in the shade 'Wax & Wayne'. (Don't be fooled by the swatches on the website, I think there might be an error on their and mixed up the shade with the gold version) Is it purple? Is it brown? who knows, it's just flipping beautiful. See a review and swatches here.

I've never tried anything from Eyeko before, but I'd heard so many good things about it so when glamour where giving their eyeliner away free with their magazine, I couldn't say no. I'd picked up the navy because I already own about 1 Billion black eyeliners, so I thought I'd try something different. This is like a permanent marker for your eyes, liquid liners have the tendency to melt down my face but this one doesn't move an inch, it doesn't melt, it just stays put. Hallelujah.

The John Frieda over night repair deserves it's place in my June favourites because it works a treat. It's basically an over night conditioner that aims to re-hydrate your hair. I apply 5-10 pumps (I have a lot of hair) to the ends of my hair, plait it, sleep then rinse it out in the morning. It smells incredible and leaves my crispy, dry ends soft and hydrated. It doesn't leave an residue on the pillow and hasn't made me break out so it's a 10/10 from me!
