Skincare Routine

I've never been particularly very good at looking after my skin. I'm certain I have Dermatillomania (Compulsive skin picking), well I definitely tick all the boxes for it. I can't stop myself once I've started and before I know it I've ruined my skin. My constant skin picking contributes to acne which then starts off the vicious cycle all over again. However my current skincare routine is seriously helping counteract the damage done and my skins looking the best its been in a long while, so I thought I'd give you a run down of all the products I use.

My skin type is combination/oily and I cater my skincare routine around how my skin is acting at that particular time, but most of the time it stays the same.

I start by removing my eye make-up using my No.7 beautiful skin eye make-up remover, as it's the only one that doesn't make my eyes swell up. Then use the Clinique take the day off cleansing balm to remove the rest of my make-up on my face. This product is amazing at getting rid off all the make-up and all the dirt of my skin without stripping it of any moisture and leaves it feeling clean yet hydrated. I then follow this up with my Lush tea tree water to tone and to get rid of any final dirt left behind before applying my Body Shop Vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil to leave my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. As for my eyes, I use the Body Shop Aloe Eye Defence, I love this as it's does a good job at restoring moisture without aggravating my sensitive eyes.
If I have any blemishes I will apply my Teangi cream, this cream is actually magic. It's a cream containing tea tree and witch hazel, two products known for their spot clearing abilities but It's also good for burns, grazes, cuts and stings. It drastically reduces spot size over night and I now swear by it! I seriously cannot rave about this product enough!

I wash my face in the shower using the charcoal face wash by Biore and then use my Lush tea tree toner water again. I then apply my La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo mainly to my t-zone or where I get the most blemishes. I then apply my Body shop eye cream, then leave it about 10 minutes before applying my make-up to ensure it's all absorbed.

Once/twice a week I'll apply the Soap and Glory self heating mask to my t-zone for a deep clean in the evening.

My skin is far from what most people would consider perfect, but it's not as half as bad as it used to be. I can only hope it gets better with age.
