50 Shades Of Red

I love a good red lip, whether it's just a sheer swipe of tinted balm or a full on intense matte lipstick. However there's about 50,000 different shades and formulas on the market, making it hard to find 'the one'. So I've collated together all the ones I've tried, tested and loved and I though I'd share them all with you.

Revlon Lip Butter- Tutti Fruitti is more of a orangey coral shade which is super wearable for those who want a slight pop of colour but aren't prepared to go all out MAC Ruby Woo style. It's very hydrating and is perfect for spring/summer.

NYX Buttergloss - Cherry Pie is true glossy red that can be sheered out or layered up. I always thought reds should always be matte, but this just has the perfect balance of pigmentation and gloss which makes it so wearable.

MAC Lipstick - See Sheer is a very muted red. This tends to be one I grab more for every day wear, it enhances my natural lip colour and adds a bit of life back into my face on those days when I feel like death warmed up.

Rimmel- In Love With Ginger is a bright orange toned red, the formula of Rimmel lipsticks are incredible and so affordable. If you've never tried one, definitely go try this one out. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the scent of them, which is the only downside.

MAC Lipstick- Ruby Woo is a true blue toned matte red. This is probably my favourite, it's so bright and long lasting and it's got the beautiful trademark vanilla scent that I'm obsessed with. Of course, due to it being so matte, it does tend to be a little drying but nothing a little lip balm can't fix.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet- Hot pepper is a slight orangey toned red. It's a liquid lipstick that dries down to a stain and is virtually weightless on the lips. These are so long lasting and I'm also obsessed with the other shades in this range.

I also added in the first picture a swatch of the Maybeline Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Me. This is by far the best shade in the Baby Lips range we have available in the UK and it smells amazing too. I'd say it's perfect for anyone who's not allowed to wear make-up to school but still wants a hint of something as well as the moisturisation of a lip balm.

If I'm honest, this post has made me realised I don't own enough reds. Uh oh #FeelingSpendy
I hope this was helpful for anyone looking for their perfect red, or is just simply looking to try new ones out.
